Abstract
|
|
|
A case of intracranial foreign body seated in the frontal lobe is reported, which was removed by means of Lee´s universal stereotactic apparatus
Authets have recieved and discussed several points of advantage of the above method, and the conclusions drown from this study are as follows;
1) The foreign body could be reached through a silent area of the brain by an appropriate fixation of the universal needle holder.
2) The damage of the brain tissue was minimized, becouse the direction and distance of the location of a foreign body could be readily determined by handling the main needle of the apparatus.
3) The operative prccedure is performed under local anesthesia and enough for 30 minutes.
